The TRUTH about Islam (Part 2)
Question: How does the follower of Islam get into heaven?
Do believers of Islam find this answer clearly in the Qur'an?
My answer:
The Qur'an states :
Sura 3:185
"Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. Only he who is saved far from the Fire and admitted to the Garden will have attained the object (of Life): For the life of this world is but goods and chattels of deception."
You get to the GARDEN (not heaven) by your....what? Good works that you lived by through Islamic traditions and morals which will make you worthy of being admitted back to the Garden of Eden?
Wait a minute!
We all DIE....so follow Islam and what? Where are you going? Heaven? There is NOTHING in the Qur'an that gives any glimpse of hope and instructions to get to heaven!
Wouldn't this be a warning to you? Why believe in something that ends with your physincal death? Please prove me wrong!!!
Jesus Christ was either just a "prophet" or He was really the Messiah
Jesus the Christ makes clear and bold statements about how to get to heaven.....
Matthew 16: 15-17 .
15He (Jesus) said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
16. Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ (Messiah), the Son of the living God.
17. Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood
has not revealed this to you, But My Father who is in heaven.”
John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
One more statement....
At this Islamic website, a writer makes an argument for how "logical" the Koran is and sheds light on how some Islamic followers think they will get into heaven...
He states:
"Koran is logical. It says:
1. Unbelievers are those who do not accept Islam, particularly Jews and Christians.
2. Because unbelievers do not accept Islam, Allah hates them and does not guide them.
3. Because Allah does not guide them, unbelievers become evil-doers - they commit additional sins besides rejecting Islam.
4. Muslims will see the sins of unbelievers plainly, both in non-Muslim society and in dealings with non-Muslims.
5. Therefore, Muslims must fight unbelievers both to limit sin and give unbelievers a chance to go to heaven by becoming Muslims. (Of course, whether you do go to heaven - and get the 70 "black-eyed virgins" - depends on whether your good deeds outweigh your bad or whether you die in jihad.)"
My comment:
And what reward does Paradise bring to the jihad martyr? He is promised a palace of pearls in which are 70 mansions; inside each mansion are 70 houses and in each house a bed on which are 70 sheets and on each sheet a beautiful virgin. He is assured that he will have the appetite and strength of 100 men for food and sex.
This is the fantastic dream that is fed to Muslim boys from their childhoods.
Satan promised Jesus things similar to these and more, when he tempted Jesus in the desert.
To a Christian and any other true son or daughter of the true God, these things the Muslim hopes for are loathsome. I am not on this earth to "try my best" to get into heaven...I am here to find TRUTH!
Through much research and blessing...I HAVE found that hard studying of the Holy Bible brings FAITHING and everything Jesus has revealed to this world is TRUTH!
Jesus is the only way to heaven....heck, the problem I have with Islam is at least give people a religion besides instructing the followers to make a futile attempt to MURDER their way in!
I look forward to any and all comments... remember that the topic of this post is

I think you're splitting hairs over arbitrary words. So what if they call it "Garden"? The concept is still the same.
As for spelling out how to get there...I'm sure you need to read the rest of the book to get the full message.
By Libertarian Jason, at 6:13 AM
The concept is the same?
You are saying that eternal life is the same as the Garden of Eden?
How do you know that the concept is the same...because they are very different.
And I have read the book well enough...why don't you tell me?
It is a simple question

A Muslim gets to heaven the same way an unbaptized child does, or someone never even exposed to the Gospel - through God's mercy. All men and women are sinners. All need God's mercy.
Gandhi once said that all roads lead to God, and there are without doubt elements in Islam that promote peace and dignity, characteristics that any Christian would accept.
After all, Christ's greatest command is to love one another.
By Charley, at 1:31 PM
Well see Charley there's the difference. Show me in the Bible where it says loving one another and being peaceful and dignified gets you into heaven. You see the Bible clearly spells out the way to salvation. With all due respect, you and people who think like you wouldn't know this because you've never read it. You've maybe read about it, but you've never picked it up and read it for yourself. Yes it is true that we need God's mercy. The only reason God can be merciful to us is because Jesus took upon Himself the wrath that should have been placed on us because of our sin.
Question: If you're not relying on God's mercy because of your faith in the crucifixion and ressurection of Jesus, then how will your good works (love, peace dignity...as you say) pay for your sin?

You are saying that eternal life is the same as the Garden of Eden?
Did people die in the Garden of Eden?
By Libertarian Jason, at 2:00 PM
Jason-
I don't understand where you are hung up here...Heaven does not equal the Garden of Eden.
The Garden of Eden was a protected place on Satan's rock...Satan got INTO the Garden of Eden...Satan cannot get back into heaven, after Jesus resurrected.
The path to The Garden of Eden or Paradise is a path to get back to a place Satan occupied?
In heaven...Satan won't be there.
Pick your path...Islamic Garden of Eden with Satan OR Christianity...folowers of Christ IN heaven.

I'm thinking there's no God at all. Just what I'm thinking. But please, keep fighting over fairy tales. Very amusing. Oh, it's not amusing when you count the bodies.
Islam is not the problem. Power in the wrong hands is the problem.

Hello Station Agent
"Power in the wrong hands is the problem."
Can you show me anywhere in the history of mankind where power has ever been in the right hands?
I know of one example, how many do you know?
By your comment I presume you think you know where there is a pair of 'right' hands.

y2t, sometimes it's possible to see a bad thing without knowing a good alternative you know.

Ozonevibe-
What are you trying to say?
Did you mean- People do bad things because they don't know a good alternative?

Station Agent-
You made three strong statements that have nothing to do with the question..but I would like to see where you take this.
1) You said: "I'm thinking there's no God at all" Question: WHY?
2) You said: "keep fighting over fairy tales. Very amusing." Question: I am not amused and how is this post anything close to a fairy tale? You can prove this by getting on a plane and fly to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afganistan, Syria...(the list goes on), and when your in the airport...Yell out: "I'm thinking there is no God at all!!" in the best Arabic tongue you can muster and see what happens. Don't dump your emotions unless you want to engage in some debate.
3) You said "Islam is not the problem" Question: Really? So what is it then...is it a cultural, racial, socio-economic, or a political problem?

I just wanted to let you know that all of us are really enjoying your comments and help with some of these topics! I have distributed the web-site address to the group and we will let you know...from what I see..I think it is great! I have to spend some time and read through the lessons and explore it a little. Hello John,
Yes I said it was 'interesting', but beware as it is not all truth. This Mr L. Ray Smith certainly doesn't understand Grace.
There is much legalism in some of what he teaches.

Yes I think that website teaches much falacy and error. I would not recommend what they teach to anyone. I think they do a great job at twisting scripture and dilluting it to a bunch of meaninglessness.
