The Impact of "Peak Oil"

Even though I dislike the typical anti-biblical scientific tone...let scientists report on what it can logically deduce from the "world of man" and contribute information in areas where science is most useful.
Economically and REALISTICALLY, the scenario of "Peak Oil" is true and will drastically change the world we know. Now if you want, we can provide you details via e-mail on how this may tie in to The Beast; but either way this article is a critical read.

Dear Reader,

Civilization as we know it is coming to an end soon. This is not the wacky proclamation of a doomsday cult, apocalypse bible prophecy sect, or conspiracy theory society. Rather, it is the scientific conclusion of the best paid, most widely-respected geologists, physicists, and investment bankers in the world. These are rational, professional, conservative individuals who are absolutely terrified by a phenomenon known as global "Peak Oil."

"Are We 'Running Out'? I Thought There Was 40 Years of the Stuff Left"

Oil will not just "run out" because all oil production follows a bell curve. This is true whether we're talking about an individual field, a country, or on the planet as a whole.
Oil is increasingly plentiful on the upslope of the bell curve, increasingly scarce and expensive on the down slope. The peak of the curve coincides with the point at which the endowment of oil has been 50 percent depleted. Once the peak is passed, oil production begins to go down while cost begins to go up.

In practical and considerably oversimplified terms, this means that if 2000 was the year of global Peak Oil, worldwide oil production in the year 2020 will be the same as it was in 1980. However, the world’s population in 2020 will be both much larger (approximately twice) and much more industrialized (oil-dependent) than it was in 1980. Consequently, worldwide demand for oil will outpace worldwide production of oil by a significant margin. As a result, the price will skyrocket, oil-dependant economies will crumble, and resource wars will explode.

Maybe oil is from God because oil does come from dead animals and plants. Taking about one million years for it to form, as scientist recalls. But there is no mention of oil in the bible, as far as I can see.

Hello Marc-

There were two sons Ishmael and Isaac: Isaac are the Jewish line while Ishmael is Arab line. Hence why the Jews and Arabs have never gotten along like two brothers quarreling. In our Birthright promises paper:

Ishmael was Abraham's firstborn from Hagar, Sarah’s maidservant.
(Gen 16:3-4) Isaac is his second born from Sarah. (Gen 21:1-3) Isaac receives the birthright promises, Ishmael does not.
(Gen17:16-22)
Ishmael receives his own promises from God, but not those
promised to Abraham and Sarah (Gen16:10-12).

Ishmael will :
A)Be a wild man
B)His hand shall be against every man
C)Every mans hand will be against him
D)He will dwell in the presence of all his brethren

So, how would every mans hand be against the Arabs? Several times in history this has happened and now it is over oil. If Ishamel was given these promises by God, fill in the blanks on how it happens using history...so if God promised Ishmael that every mans hand would be against him, and Ishamael became THE ARAB/MUSLIM NATIONS and THE ARAB/MUSLIM nation control the worlds oil supplies...the details of the promises begin to unfold. I wish it was that easy that the Bible contains easy Truths all the time like..GOD PROMISES ALL ARAB NATIONS OIL...but it takes the Ear of understanding and HIS guidance to find the answers. Once He gives you this guidance it is amazing to see thta the answers were usually right there and are simple...for some odd reason you couldn't see it at the time.

Well, many people have said oil takes a millions years to form, even my sybling has told me that. Of course many people are wrong, probably using radio carbon dating. Maybe its 7,000 years old instead?

In the leading theory, dead organic material accumulates on the bottom of oceans, riverbeds or swamps, mixing with mud and sand. Over time, more sediment piles on top and the resulting heat and pressure transforms the organic layer into a dark and waxy substance known as kerogen.

Left alone, the kerogen molecules eventually crack, breaking up into shorter and lighter molecules composed almost solely of carbon and hydrogen atoms. Depending on how liquid or gaseous this mixture is, it will turn into either petroleum or natural gas.

So how long does this process take?

Scientists aren't really sure, but they figure it's probably on the order of hundreds of thousands of years.

MY COMMENT: If science is not sure and now may think that this process takes several HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of years...under unusual circumstances or other unknown forces within nature, wouldn't you ponder the possibility that natural matter could become oil within a lot less time?

How about the fact that this whole concept of "time" could be accelerated or de-cellerated by the Creator's will and science will un-cover the EVIDENCE of these "unusual" events. My point: THINK INDEPENDETLY AND LEARN BOTH SIDES OF ANY given topic to the best of your ability. I think science and religion oppose each other on many topics and scientists can come up with more outrageous theories than the testified Truth given to Moses. Or choose science and forget everything not provable by the microscope and telescope...

As one social pioneer stated:

Couldn't that "unusual circumstance" or "force within nature" have been a world wide flood, as stated in Genesis. If it takes any where between hundreds or thousands of years to make oil from dead organic material and Noah's Flood took place about 4500 years ago, then I'ld say God knew exactly what He was doing. I think the Flood happened at just the right time to give us the oil we need today and dinosaurs probably had their greatest purpose in this. As anonymous said, "DID GOD NOT PUT IT WHERE HE WANTED
IT TO BE TO SERVE HIS PURPOSE?". There is no need for accellerated or decellerated time if mainstrean science would admit to the many pieces of evidence found to prove the Flood (for example, the finding of Noah's ARK).

And by the way we have PLENTY of oil off the Atlantic coast and in Alaska and also Mexico. If the Government and Enviromentalists would get their dirty little hands out of everything, we wouldn't need the oil in the Middle East. As soon as this huge demand hits, we will either drill elsewhere, have the technology to counter the need for mass oil consumption...OR as the article says go to war.

I beleive TRUE science runs perfectly in-line with the Bible, because God made science. But as far as mindless evolution goes... that's BAD science, it defies almost ALL scientific Laws, probability, physics, logic, etc....but that's a different discussion.

Yes..we should discuss what TRUE science is...it is the difference between the theory of Evolution and realities of natural selection...or genetics...or adaptability.

Too many people believe in the Theory of Evolution as fact and it bothers me to see so many people believe in transitional fossils that don't exist except as a creation of an artist. Then the Evolutionists get upset when their glass houses are rattled by logical assessment and the lack of empirical evidence but dismiss God's Word as "fictional stories" and "fables". My favorite is to except Darwin's Theory as God's Plan unveiled by man...now that IS a fable! So a snake grows feathers and flies because...evolutionists say so. I DON'T THINK SO!

BTW...there probably isn't enough oil to satisfy the population growth and increased demand of developing nations like China and India. I don't care where you drill...if you do find enough oil..gas sure won"t be anywhere near $3 a gallon after all of the costs incurred to get the oil.

Well after reading the second page of that article I've changed my mind. CHAOS WILL REIGN IN 2012. It doesn't matter where we drill or what technology we have. But God has us stuck in the middle east like flies on poop for a reason. Anti-Christ will soon arise in the midst of all this chaos and people will be ready to accept anyone who will give them "hope".

When the glass houses of evolutionists get rattled they sweep the TRUTH under the rug and hide it from the public mainstream. This gets me angry more than anything...they are all a bunch of vomit spewing liars who believe their own lies because they want no moral accountabiblity. They want to be their own God. There is an OVERWHELMING amount of evidence in ALL areas of science that proves evolution to be impossible and intelligent design to be true...but the voices of the true scientists get no recognition thanks to the Supreme Courts ruling to ban God from schools and our left-winged media.

As far as blogs go, we haven't even scratched the surface on the fossil record.
